WITCH takes you back to the notorious Newcastle witch trials of 1650. In the aftermath of the Plague and Civil War, Newcastle town is ruled by zealous puritanical leaders. Persecution of the population is rife and so called witches and warlocks are rounded up, tried and hanged in nearby Gallowgate. Their bodies are buried in unmarked graves in the consecrated grounds of St. Andrew's graveyard metres away from the Witch room.
The witch pricker has 'proven beyond doubt' your guilt and you now sit in a cell in Newgate Jail awaiting your hanging at the Gallowgate. Can you prove your innocence and escape before the executions on Newcastle's Town Moor?
This game is designed for and best experienced with teams of three or more however two player teams can take part . This game requires some players to be imprisoned in a cell. Suitable for 14 years plus. This game has a strong theme and contains references and depictions of hangings - if you find this upsetting than we suggest you try one of our other games.
