Fun room. Lots of things to do, and look for while playing. Be VERY precise when solving puzzles, if you mess up, you could lose the room.
This facility allows you to purchase one of their cups for $20. While you are there doing a room, you can have drinks (including sofas, beer and wine) with as many refills as you would like while playing . You can bring back the cup when you return to play another room.

Room #4, and the final room of the Tillman series.
This room is the scariest of the series. It is SO scary, you are asked for a safe word in case you absolute can not continue.
This is another physics room.
There is an area in which one team member will be in complete darkness. They will be like this until the other members of the team can rescue them.
Truly the scariest room in which we have played, but SO worth it for the thrill.

Room #3 of the Tillman series.
Once again, incredible immersion and amazing design.
This is a somewhat physical room. Not too difficult, but you must have at least one team member who can do the hueco al features and then let the rest of the team into the room.

There is A LOT to do in the small area of this pop-up room. You deal with a number of fairy tales along the way: Little Mermaid, Pinocchio, Handel & Gretel, etc. The puzzles are broken down into different areas and focuses only on one fairy tale at a time.
Again there is A LOT to do, especially if you have a small team.
One of the coolest features is the unique ending / solution for each team. Prior to entering the room, the team selects 3 cards (a weapon, a location, and a character). The GM then goes into the room to set it up for the species of the trams cards. When you have escaped, you will find out if you discovered the correct combination of the three based on the items found.
This is a unique way to individualize the escape room experience.
We enjoyed this room, but we’re very frustrated with the time wasted (and deducted from our time) with videos of nonsense.
The immersion was pretty cool, as were the puzzles. Some seemed to be counterintuitive.

Your team is split into two cells to begin your escape.
This is a little bit of a physical room. You must be able to walk up stairs and then slide down, or at least one member of your team.

Puzzles are not always intuitive. Even after hearing the explanation and how the solution is achieved, the puzzle still did not make. Our Game Master even commented how the pictures don’t really look like what they are supposed to represent.

Beautifully decorated. Wonderful puzzle theming.
References to Poe’s writing throughout, but not necessary to know any of his writings to complete the room.
Charge $10, for a souvenir photo. We always like to take a team picture when we win. Our rating for this room, although a great room, was decreased because of the crassness of charging for a photo. It left a bad taste in our mouths. We have never been charged for a team photo.
We were required to pay for four people even though we are a three person team.

Doldrick’s was an amazing escape room experience. Our team has completed over 70 rooms and this had one of the best immersion we have ever seen. The rooms were beautifully designed and the puzzles challenging. We escaped and had tons of fun.

The theming is always excellent for The Bureau. You don’t really have puzzles. You have tasks to complete throughout. Figuring out the rules for your environment is a big part of the fun.

Great theming, as all of the rooms at The Bureau. It is fun having a puppet friend to help along the way, but be creative in how you use this friend.
There really are no puzzles to be completed, just tasks which must be need to be done in order to get out with the requested item.

We completed the expert level room. If only 10% of people get out of this room, then only 10% are trying.
We weren’t disappointed, but it did seem to be a little bit of a let down at the end.

You are lead into this dark room by your game master. You then must figure out how to earn lights. There are some interesting challenges with subtlest clues to decipher. Not as scary a room as we thought based online description, but very enjoyable.

This was a room designed more fir the younger escape room enthusiasts. It was only challenging in the sense of the multiple tasks that had to be completed. There was very little challenge, mainly building and searching.
We completed the room as a two person team. There are A LOT of things to do in this room. It is a little difficult to focus on individual tasks. The story line could make more sense, but overall the experience was enjoyable. This is definitely their best room. (We completed, and escaped, from two of their other rooms the same day - Toy Room and Skinned Alive).

Fun room. You start in a crashed plane, immersion here is simple, but realistic. Throughout, you feel as if you are working through the aircraft and then out into the jungle. Some of the puzzles are unique. If you don’t have the skill needed for a particular task, you need to continue too look and you will find the information to help (when you get to this part, you will know exactly what I am talking about-it will be very easy for those in the know).
Fun room, as all are at this location.

From the moment you walk into the building, you are entertained. The lobby is filled with fun messages and notes. There are large raven wings on the wall for photo ops.
When you are greeted by Madam Daphne, you are invited into her parlor each participant is handed a book with their name. Inside you are shown a tarot card for which you must locate within the room to discover your fortune. It is also at this time you sign the waver. Some may wish to have their fortune told at this time.
Madame Daphne takes you into a dark hallway with photos depicting the rules which must be followed during the seance.
The theming for this experience is amazing. You are completely immersed through the entire experience. The puzzles are completely on point and follow the Houdini storyline very well.
This is one of the best escape rooms we have experienced because of the theatrical interaction, but also the theming.

Some of the puzzles were not only challenging, but unique to us. We tried to make some of the puzzles more difficult than need be. Even the game master said we over thought some of the puzzles.
This was a great room. We enjoyed talking to the game master afterward about the room and the manner in which it was created. One of the best rooms we have not escaped!

The setting of the was realistic (various areas of a bank). You have to be VERY observant through the experience. As with any bank, there is money and a great deal of math. Be sure to use some of the resource provided, but there are red herrings along the way. Not only is the setting realistic, but the experience gets your heart racing. Great room.

This is a 90 minute room that, in many cases, it’s difficult for difficulty sake. In many ways there are interesting puzzles that rely on technology in various escape rooms, but this one realize too heavily on the technology. Technology can be used for a variety of reasons to enhance a room, but this one uses the same tool over and over in the same way to poor effect. It is still worth going to this room. It is still an excellent room compared to many of the other alternative you have, even in a saturated market like Orlando. However, be aware that if you have a limited time, there are better options.
Escape Effect has a special t-shirt and collectors pin for each of their rooms. Other places have a business logo shirt, but it is cool to have a shirt from the rooms you completed.

Fun room for up to 6 players. Our team (of 2) completed the room with 22 minutes to spare.
Unique leaderboard system gives players bonus points for completing certain puzzles, and for not using clues.
Don’t be fooled by the exterior!! You really are at The Bureau! Start in two separate rooms. Communication is key to join team members.
Genuinely one of the most exciting adventures we have been on as a team! Incredible visual affects. Puzzles are in sync with the story line.
There are no locks for this experience. You are working as if you truly are an agent of The Bureau to complete the task at hand.
Amazing escape room.

This dark room was on theme, but was difficult to see around. There were a lot of puzzles to complete, which took a lot of time. It also got EXTREMELY hot in the room which seemed to suck all of our energy.

If we could give more points for this room, we would! If was incredible.
This is absolutely the best room we have ever played! It was an amazing experience and we loved every minute of it. Some of the most creative and ingenious puzzles we have ever seen. We would love to experience their rooms in North Carolina just because of the quality of the theme and challenges. AMAZING!!!

We had an amazing time competing in the Summer Camp (60 minutes). We have experienced 40+ rooms and discovered some new challenges in this room. Our game master, Alaina was excellent.

The room was creative. There were definitely areas where cooperation was required. Cool puzzles. We were a little confused because we thought we were missing something because one big wall was never used. We later found out it had been broken and the result from that task was moved.

This is one of the best rooms we have ever completed.
Not only was it fun, but it was also scary because of the intense immersion of the room.
We can't wait to go back to do the rest of their rooms.

We could have easily escaped this room in 30 minutes (with just two of us) if the black light pens used on some of the props had not worn off. It took forever to find where the pens had been used, then we couldn't read the information.
We had to complete this room with four strangers. It made it a little difficult, especially with communication. They were experience escape room participants, so it was kind of a power struggle for some of the puzzles. We finally split and began working on our own areas of the room.

This room can be a challenge for anyone with a seizure disorder (like one of our team members). Strobe lights are used in one of the rooms and cannot be turned off during the game. This prevent some players from going in to help with the puzzles in the room, which is a huge disadvantage.

We enjoyed the room and the theme. They had done a great job of making you feel like you were truly in a mine, which might cause some people to be claustrophobic.

Good small town, privately own room. It is created in a shed/ trailer. Good room, but definitely not the best room we have ever completed. Add three beginners to our team and they had fun.
The room was created by a first time escape room person as well.
Two teams (for us - two people on each team) and you are "locked" in two different rooms. You must communicate with each other in order to complete some of the puzzles to get out of the separate rooms and meet in a common room.

We had issues with one area of this room which cost us a great deal of time. One of the puzzles is a water puzzle. In order to complete the puzzle you MUST have water. When the room was set up, they neglected to refill the water to the appropriate level. When they brought us the additional water, they did not adjust our time to compensate us for the time wasted trying to figure out what was wrong.
It was in this room we discovered it is best to leave your iWatch in a locker or with your personal items.
You are handcuffed to a cot when you enter. One of our team members, while trying to locate the key to get out of the handcuffs, accidentally pushed the crown button on his iWatch and the police were called. We couldn't exactly tell the police we were handcuffed to a cot! (LOL!)
Absolutely the very BEST room we have ever completed. You are dressed as a monk, blind folded and led into the room. You are locked into a cell and you and your team mates have to figure out how to get out of the cells.

This room was created as a 10 person room. Our team of 3 had 7 strangers all trying to step over each other. There were no enough puzzles for 10 people to try to complete without getting in the way of one another.
Our team does NOT like other teams to join us in a room. We each have our own strengths and have learned how to do our own thing in order to complete a room. When others join our team, it slows us down and we do not like our time to be affected when trying to escape.
Will not return to this facility.
