Amazing!
Worth travelling to the city just for this room.

It was very much a lock and key escape room. It was nonlinear and you were encouraged to search the rooms very carefully. There were 4 sets of collectibles that you would find throughout the room and it included a optional puzzle for an extra bonus. The Halloween prison flavor was done well, and the room felt spooky but not scary. I had a blast with my group, we were split up into 2 different cells and had to talk to each other to combine our clues for solutions. We did the optional objective, and got stuck multiple times but never for more than a few minutes. Because of the layout, you could pretty safely ignore a puzzle that stumped you and come back to it later, which saved a lot of time because we could think about older puzzles while doing newer ones. We escaped in 41 minutes, claiming the 3rd place spot on the leaderboard.

Good
You'll enjoy it, even if it's not very unique.

I enjoyed this room quite a bit. The puzzles were really easy and linear, but they were well executed and added to the flavor. Important props were frequently medieval weapons which was incredibly entertaining and unique. I also liked how it was spooky thematically while not ever trying to scare you. This would be a perfect room for kids, and still entertaining for adults. The environment was very interesting, but also it's greatest downside. I had no issues having to frequently crawl and duck under things, and the smoke machines were fun, but for many that might be a turn-off. The biggest problem for me was that many parts of the room were slightly too small for me to stand up straight. I'm 6'2" and for the first half of the room I had to crouch while the rest of my party was able to stand up straight. There were a few parts that were made to be crouched in or crawled through, so all together I spent maybe 25% of my time able to stand up.

This room had a LOT of physical puzzles involving throwing, crawling, and blindly reaching into holes. We ended up losing a magnet with a rope for throwing, but managed to get it back with a grappling hook. A good amount of props were used for multiple puzzles, and there were quite a few jump scares. My score is slightly inflated because a friend of ours works at the escape room, so we were able to go over the allotted time. She also served as a live actor and she taunted us over the speakers, which hindered our escape time but definitely added to the experience. Without her I'd probably rate the room an 8/10.
